Denial of NST online report making adverse comments on PAS

Media Statement
by Lim Kit Siang

(Petaling Jaya, Sunday): Yesterday, New Straits Times online carried a Miri  report under the heading DAP vows no more bedfellowing with Pas which stated:

Miri - The DAP has vowed to never again form an alliance with Pas, saying it will fight its political struggle in Malaysia alone.

Its chairman Lim Kit Siang said the question of working with Pas again did not arise anymore.

He said DAP no longer trusted Pas because, among others, the DAP did not get a fair deal especailly on the allocation of seats during the last general election.

Lim said this when asked whether DAP and Pas would renew their coalition to fight the BN in future elections.

I wish to categorically deny ever making the statements attributed to me in the NST online report.  This report is completely baseless and most irresponsible as well as mischievous  and I call on the NST to institute an inquiry as to how such a fictitious report could be written up and published as news.
