(Kuching, Sunday): In the recent general election, the SUPP in Sarawak, like the MCA and Gerakan in Peninsular Malaysia, conducted a despicable campaign of lies and falsehoods to frighten the Chinese voters that the DAP’s co-operation with PAS in the Barisan Alternative will result in the Malaysian Chinese losing their existing political, religious, cultural  and social rights.

They spread the propaganda line that DAP’s co-operation with PAS will result in the Chinese losing their political, religious, cultural and social rights, such as:

I challenge the SUPP, MCA and Gerakan to come out with a single instance to prove anyone of the above eight lies and falsehoods, or they should stop such irresponsible and despicable tactices which have no respect for the truth whatsoever.

DAP has co-operated with PAS, KeADILan and Parti Raykat to form the Barisan Alternative on the common platform of "A Just Malaysia" based on the principles of justice, freedom, democracy and good governance.

It would be a violation of the Barisan Alternative common manifesto of "A Just Malaysia" if anyone of the eight allegations above is true and this is why we are challenging SUPP, MCA and Gerakan to come forward to justify their accusations instead of continuing to spread lies and falsehoods.

The SUPP will be using these same lies and falsehoods as their chief election weapon in the forthcoming Sarawak state general election which can be held this year or latest by September next year and Sarawak DAP must work out an effective counter strategy to explain the truths and the facts to the people.
