DAP to expose the MCA campaign of lies against the DAP, which is one of the pillars of the Barisan Nasional election game-plan to make the next general election the "dirtiest" in the nation’s history to save its two-thirds parliamentary majority

(Petaling Jaya, Thursday): It is now clear that the MCA campaign of lies against the DAP is one of the pillars of the Barisan Nasional election game-plan to make the next general election the "dirtiest" in the nation’s history and why the MCA President, Datuk Seri Dr. Ling Liong Sik is so confident that 99 per cent of the Chinese would vote the Barisan Nasional in the next general election.

Yesterday, for instance, Liong Sik came out with his latest lie against me. The Star today reported Liong Sik as telling the following lie:

This is a lie as I had never at any time told the Chinese or Malaysians that I could convert PAS to abandon its objective of an Islamic State.

The trouble with the MCA campaign of lies is that MCA leaders have told so many lies that they themselves are unable to keep track of them, resulting in the ridiculous situation of the same person telling lies which contradict each other.

Liong Sik provides a good example.  For instance, two months ago in Malacca, Liong Sik said:

Liong Sik’s lie in Malacca two months ago is totally contradicts his lie against the DAP yesterday.  I would advise Liong Sik to be consistent with his lies - and better still, to set a good moral example to the new generation of Malaysians and to stop lying altogether.

Unfortunately, the lies virus has afflicted the MCA leadership in the run-up to the next  general election, to the extent that even the Wanita MCA has not been spared.

Two days ago, the Wanita MCA Deputy Chairperson and MCA MP for Klang, Dr. Tan Yee Kew, alleged that I had scolded her for "praying to God and also praying to Devil", and launched into a tirade against me for not respecting religion.

I had never used the term against her. In fact, in all my ceramahs including those held in Klang, I had never even mentioned her once.

But MCA leaders have to invent lies about them being scolded by the DAP so that they could launch into  baseless attacks against the DAP leaders - which are given prominent coverage in certain mass media but which could even black-out DAP denials!

I would seriously suggest that the MCA national leadership, including the Wanita MCA leadership, should conduct a soul-searching session and to abandon its campaign of lies against the DAP leadership and set higher moral standards in Malaysian politics.

If MCA leaders are honourable men and women, then Liong Sik and Yee Kew should publicly and unreservedly apologise for the lies they have been telling about me.

Let me remind MCA leaders that the DAP’s stand on Islamic state, whether public or private, had always been consistent  - that it is unsuitable and inappropriate for a plural society like Malaysia.  DAP leaders have no problems in clearly stating our opposition to the formation of an Islamic state, whether at public forums or in discussions with political leaders, including with PAS leaders and members at PAS headquarters.

DAP will not allow the MCA campaign of lies to continue unchallenged, and we will expose the MCA campaign of lies against the DAP, which is one of the pillars of the Barisan Nasional election game-plan to make the next general election the "dirtiest" in the nation’s history to save its two-thirds parliamentary majority.
